After months of waiting Kate Middleton gave birth to a little prince! Kate arrived at St. Mary's Hospital at 6a.m. after going into labor (London time) and gave birth at 4:24 p.m. Kensington Palace announced that the couple's firstborn son weighed in at 8 lbs 6 oz. Congrats William and Kate!
The Queen's Press Secretary and a footman posted the official announcement of the birth of the new Prince in the Buckingham Palace forecourt.
It read: "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 4.24 p.m. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."
Also included is the official Buckingham Palace heading and the signatures of the medical staff who helped deliver the newborn Prince of Cambridge.
